11 Oct - Heading up from my train to Harajuku and the chaos waiting above, I did a double-take when I saw this twangy (at least, that’s the feeling it gave off to me) handrail amidst a sea of practical Japanese efficiency. The crowd behind me wasn’t too excited about my effect on the upward flow when I stopped, but this was really a sign of things to come – almost as if the Harajuku girls, rockabillies, geisha, and insanity did a mind-meld on the handrail and said To hell with convention. Be what you want to be.
